Hi, I'm Trish Findlay and I love to read so much that I want to share that love with others. I believe the best time to start is when you are young and that's why I present this website, Best Children's Books.
Good books open young minds to the wonders and mysteries that are in the world around them, instilling in them a thirst for learning, a thirst for knowledge and the desire to experience more for themselves. These are traits that will help them to become successful later in life.
We bring you lists of our children’s favorite stories, the favourites of our students and lists of bestsellers & recommended reading. Here at Best Children’s Books we also encourage you to write a book yourself and so bring you some guidelines for writing great children’s book
My sister, Lesley Bathgate, a teacher for 32 years says:
"Providing stimulating reading material for children, and reading aloud to young ones is one of the best ways to create a child that will be open to different ways of doing things and one who will succeed.
Reading is vital. It provides oral and written language patterning as well as extending your children's vocabularies.
Just listen to your children; you'll hear their vocab develop in their daily language. Check their story writing too. Reading is rewarding is so many ways!!
